Sonic Gong Meditation at the Japanese Friendship Garden

Once a month, gong practitioner Lindsey Roach lays mats on the koi deck of the Japanese Friendship Garden's lower garden and runs a full-group gong bath — native flute, handpan, and crystal harp at the close — with actual koi as the only other witnesses.

The move: Book the 9-10am Sunday slot together ($25 member / $30 non-member), bring a shared blanket and cushion to lie side by side on the deck, then wander the teahouse and bonsai grove once the gongs stop ringing.
