Entry No. 16 — the San Diego file — filed under: artist studios
Spanish Village Art Center
A 1930s adobe-style village of studio buildings tucked behind the park's museum row, where more than 200 juried working artists — potters, glassblowers, painters, jewelers — open their studios daily and let strangers watch them work for free.
The move: Stroll studio to studio through the courtyards, watch a potter throw on the wheel at the San Diego Potters' Guild studio (daily 11am–4pm), and each pick out one small original piece to take home.
