Inside the Seaside Makers Collective storefront on State Street, founder-formulator Kristin runs a 30-minute one-on-one session where you smell your way through a bar of raw fragrance notes and build a scent from scratch — no perfumer's nose required, just trial and error.

The move: Book back-to-back 30-minute slots and each blend your own custom roll-on perfume and aromatherapy mist, then compare noses on what the other person landed on.
