Western Neon School of Art
A nonprofit school spun off from the long-running Western Neon commercial sign shop, where you learn to bend glass tubing into your own glowing sculpture over a multi-week course at the ribbon fires. Instructors demo 90-degree bends, double-backs and sweeping curves, then cycle through students for one-on-one time at the torch while you melt, blow and shape your tube. You build small illuminated projects you actually bent yourself. Classes run as quarter-long sessions, are kept small, and fill fast, so spots are limited.
The move: Sign up together for an intro bending session and each bend a squiggle or initial to light up at home.
📍 Before you go Beginner classes run on limited dates and sell out; join the mailing list and book ahead.
