Broemmelsiek Park Astronomy Site
This dedicated, light-pollution-free astronomy park is open 24/7 and features ten concrete viewing pads equipped with electrical outlets. On Friday nights, the Astronomical Society of Eastern Missouri hosts public stargazing sessions using a massive 32-inch Newtonian telescope—the largest public-viewing telescope in the state.
The move: Pack a blanket, a thermos of hot cocoa, and head out on a clear Friday night to peer at the rings of Saturn or distant nebulae through Missouri's largest public telescope.
