Museo Benini

Italian-born painter and sculptor Benini (b. 1941, Imola) turned a Texas Hill Country ranch into a museum devoted to nothing but his own six-decade body of work — geometric "Targets" paintings, the "Whites" series, "Face of God" pieces, and large-scale outdoor sculpture scattered across the grounds.

The move: Walk the outdoor sculpture grounds together at your own pace as the light changes, then step into the gallery building to see the painting series indoors — a quiet, uncrowded Hill Country art excursion with essentially no crowds.
