Enigma Escape Rooms
Enigma was Boulder's first escape room when it opened on the Pearl Street Mall in 2015, and it still runs four distinct indoor rooms ranging from a 1953 science-lab heist (The Missing Scientist) to a corporate-espionage tech office (The Startup). Its standout is The Melton Tablets, a sprawling 1.5-to-3-hour untimed walking puzzle that pulls you out of any single room and across the Pearl Street Mall and surrounding downtown, weaving a buried-spell and secret-society storyline through real Boulder locations. Book ahead; reserving all the slots in a time block gets you a private game with just your group.
The move: Book The Melton Tablets and spend an afternoon solving a multi-stop puzzle hunt threaded through the actual streets and storefronts of downtown Boulder.
