Groundworks Art Lab — Clay Date Night
A Boulder nonprofit art lab whose most popular event is a Saturday-evening pottery wheel date night for ages 18+, held at its Hill location (1010 Aurora Avenue, the historic fire station). Couples spend a couple of hours getting messy at the wheels making pieces; the studio then glazes and fires one favorite per person (extra pieces $5 each) and emails you when it's ready in about four weeks. Clay and tools are included for $60 a person.
The move: Sit down at adjacent wheels on a Saturday night, throw clay together, and pick one piece each for the studio to glaze and fire.
📍 Before you go Date nights are Saturdays 7–9pm, 18+, and sell out, so buy tickets ahead; wear clothes you can get clay on and expect about a four-week wait to retrieve your fired piece.
