Hands of Spirit — Crystalline Temple

Founded in 1992 by Karen Kuk-Nagle, who became a Master of Crystology in 1996 through Melody's lineage, Hands of Spirit operates out of a private healing sanctuary in the Boulder foothills at 6,200 feet — the Crystalline Temple. Getting there requires a deliberate drive up a dirt mountain road near Betasso Preserve, and the setting earns the name: ponderosa pines, wildflowers, and serious altitude give the whole place an unmistakably removed quality. Inside, Karen and her team maintain thousands of high-quality mineral specimens from around the world, personally selected and, in her words, imbued with love. The space functions simultaneously as gallery, healing studio, and private temple — one-on-one crystal healing sessions, Melody's lineage workshops, custom jewelry, and stone elixirs are all available by appointment.

The move: Drive the dirt road up to 6,200 feet together, book a crystal healing session with Karen, then walk the half-mile to Betasso Preserve afterward. The combination of the strange interior world of the temple and the pines outside makes for a date that is genuinely hard to categorize.

📍 Before you go Appointment required — call Bruce or Karen at (303) 541-9727 before visiting. The Crystalline Temple is not a walk-in shop. Access is via a dirt road in the foothills; a standard passenger car is fine in dry conditions but check road conditions in winter or after heavy rain. The Betasso Preserve trailhead is half a mile away if you want to extend the outing. No published hours — schedule directly.
