Entry No. 20 — the Charleston file — filed under: speakeasy

Prohibition

A full 1920s speakeasy build-out on King Street — vintage bar fixtures, flapper-inspired decor, and a Beverage Director-crafted classic cocktail list that plays the Prohibition bit straight rather than winking at it — plus a hidden "Sippin' Santa" pop-up bar that takes over part of the space every winter.

The move: Snag a table for the seasonal Sippin' Santa pop-up (late Nov through Dec 31) or just walk into happy hour and order off the vintage-inspired cocktail list before wandering the rest of upper King.

Where: 547 King St, Charleston, SC 29403

Hours: Added 2026-07-20 — confirm current hours before you go.
