Entry No. 34 — the Coeur d'Alene file — filed under: oddities
Cisco's Gallery
A floor-to-ceiling gallery of rare Old West art and antiques that doubles as a quasi-museum of high-end taxidermy and frontier curiosities. Alongside the mounts you'll find Native American basketry, beadwork, pipes, Navajo weavings, antique weapons, and cowboy gambling gear. Many pieces are museum-grade and priced accordingly, so it reads more like browsing a curated collection than a typical shop.
The move: Wander the downtown gallery like a free Western oddities museum, pick the single most outlandish taxidermy mount each of you would put in a fantasy cabin, then walk down to the CdA waterfront.
📍 Before you go Open Mon-Sat 9am-5pm, closed Sunday. Browsing is welcome and free even though many pieces are high-priced.
