Botanica Caridad Del Cobre
Since 1984 this has been the mother church of Denver botanicas, hiding in plain sight on a stretch of Federal Blvd most people only drive through. Behind the storefront full of saint statues and seven-day candles sits a back wall of 250+ medicinal herbs, plus Santeria and Palo supplies, mojo bags, and bath waters for whatever you're trying to fix. The owner, a Yoruba priest, does cleansings and shell/coconut readings and has run a Spanish-language radio hour for years. It is almost entirely invisible to English-language Denver, which is exactly the point.
The move: Wander the herb wall together, pick out a candle and an oil for an intention you both want for the year, and book a back-room shell reading to see what the cowries say about the two of you.

Street and small-lot parking is the norm along this corridor, so slow down and look before you commit to the right lane. This is a working spiritual shop, not a novelty stop, in a heavily Spanish-speaking neighborhood; come curious and respectful, and a little Spanish goes a long way. For a back-room reading or cleansing it's worth calling first, since availability depends on the priest being in. Hours shift seasonally — check ahead. Pair it with the taquerías and panaderías lining Federal nearby.
