The DMV (Denver Music Venue)
A queer-run warehouse on a forgotten industrial block of Elyria-Swansea, the DMV exists for the sounds no LoDo or RiNo booker will touch: glitch, drone, noise, breakbeats, free improv. It's the de facto home of Denver noise right now and the venue that resurrected Denver Noise Fest in 2025 after roughly a decade dormant. There's no marquee, no Ticketmaster, no website worth bookmarking - you find shows on Instagram (@d.m.v_co) or you don't find them at all. ADA ramp, all the more reason it punches above its dingy exterior.
The move: Catch a Friday or Saturday noise/experimental bill, then debrief over who 'won' the most punishing set at a late-night taqueria nearby - it's the kind of show that gives a couple something genuinely strange to argue about afterward.
