The Sexploratorium
Two former Red Rocks Community College professors (one taught human sexuality, the other erotic literature) built Denver's only actual sex-education museum on the South Broadway antique strip. Behind an unassuming storefront is a walk-through Museum of Sex annex plus a calendar that swings from Kink Tasting parties and Nude Yoga to Queer Movie Nights and earnest anatomy lectures. It's pro-sex, queer-owned, and shockingly wholesome in execution. Westword named it Best Sex-Positive Space in 2025, yet almost nobody outside progressive circles knows it's there.
The move: Wander the Museum of Sex exhibits together in the afternoon, then sign up for a beginner Kink Tasting or a workshop and turn the awkward giggles into a real conversation over dinner afterward on Broadway.
📍 Before you go You'll find it mid-strip on South Broadway's antique row, south of downtown — behind a plain storefront, so look for the address rather than a flashy sign. The main entrance is street-level and step-free; a small on-site lot fills fast on event nights, so leave time for street parking. This is an adults-only (18+) space, and most workshops, kink tastings, and movie nights ticket or RSVP separately and tend to sell out — book ahead rather than walking in for an event, while the daytime museum is the easier drop-in. Afterward, the surrounding antique shops, vintage stores, and Broadway dinner spots make for an easy stroll. Hours shift seasonally, so check ahead.
