Blackfoot Pathways: Sculpture in the Wild
Founded in 2014 by sculptor Kevin O'Dwyer, this open-air sculpture park sits on wooded acres just off Highway 200 east of Lincoln. Monumental works by artists from around the world line a network of walking trails, each piece tied to the Blackfoot Valley's logging, mining and environmental history. A signature work re-imagines a sawmill teepee burner; others rise from the trees as you follow the paths. The park is open dawn to dusk year-round and free to walk.
The move: Pack a picnic and walk the wooded loop, pausing at each towering installation as it emerges from the pines.
📍 Before you go About an hour northwest of Helena via MT-200. Open dawn to dusk year-round, free, with on-site parking. Trail is roughly 0.8 mile; bring layers and water.
