Montana Law Enforcement Museum
A free, volunteer-built museum devoted entirely to the history of Montana law enforcement, from the earliest territorial days forward. Highlights include a relocated jail cell salvaged from the shuttered Anaconda jail, still opened and locked by its original key, alongside antique firearms, handcuffs, leg irons, and donated sheriffs' badges. It is a narrow, single-subject obsession run by retired Montana officers, open for a limited season each year.
The move: Lock each other in the rescued Anaconda jail cell for a photo, then stroll Philipsburg's old main street for candy and sapphires.
