Historic Hannah House

Built in 1858 by state legislator Alexander Hannah, this Italianate mansion served as an Underground Railroad stop until a devastating basement fire tragically killed hiding freedom seekers. The resulting unmarked deaths sparked over a century of ghost lore, including reports of unexplained cold spots, phantom groans, and the scent of smoke in the basement.

The move: Attend an open-house historical tour on the first Sunday of the month, or book a late-night public ghost investigation to explore the attic and basement.
