Entry No. 30 — the Nashville file — filed under: stargazing
Bowie Nature Park night programs
A 700+-acre park in Fairview, one of the largest city-managed parks in Tennessee, where the nature center runs its own after-dark calendar — a 'Strawberry Moon & Moth Night Hike' plus public star parties with guided telescope views hosted alongside local Nashville astronomers.
The move: Time a visit to a co-hosted BSAS/Dyer Observatory star party (recent one ran 9–11:30pm) — Dyer's own historic dome is closed for renovation through summer 2026, so this field in Fairview is currently where its astronomers actually set up telescopes for the public.
