Craftsman Ave — Knife Forging

Tucked inside Industry City, this beginner-friendly forge hands you a propane forge and a hammer and has you heat steel until it glows red, then draw it out into a blade. The signature class transforms a length of rebar or a railroad spike into a knife of your own shape, with options framed as a survival or hunting knife. You keep what you make.

The move: Forge a pair of knives together from glowing-hot steel, hammering out your own blades over an afternoon at the anvil.

📍 Before you go Classes run roughly 3-6 hours; wear closed-toe shoes and natural-fiber clothing for the forge.

Where: 68 34th St, Building 6, 1st Floor, Ste B124, Brooklyn, NY 11232 (Industry City)
