Mario Lanza Institute and Museum

A rowhouse museum devoted entirely to one South Philly-born tenor: gold records, movie posters, the boxing gloves Lanza wore as a teenager, his stage clothing, and a life-size bust, all kept by the nonprofit institute that still awards vocal scholarships in his name.

The move: Book the $10, two-week-advance tour (Saturdays 1-4pm) and get a guided hour through the memorabilia, then walk the renamed block of Reed Street itself named after him.

Where: 1214 Reed Street (Mario Lanza Way), Philadelphia, PA 19147

Hours: Added 2026-07-19 — confirm current hours before you go.

⚠ Seasonal or scheduled — always check before you go.
