San Antonio Scottish Rite Library and Museum

Inside the 1924 Scottish Rite Cathedral — behind two 2,500-pound bronze doors designed by sculptor Pompeo Coppini — sits a Masonic archive of rare ritual books, South Texas lodge records, ceremonial regalia, and leadership photographs, all built around one order's century of local memory.

The move: Walk in free on a weekday morning for a guided tour of the regalia and archive, then sit in the auditorium under the historic Möller pipe organ that's hosted secret degree ceremonies since the 1920s.
