Entry No. 10 — the Santa Cruz file — filed under: art

Indexical

A Brooklyn-founded experimental sound-art nonprofit relocated into a converted leather-tannery unit; a recent installation, Thadeus Frazier-Reed's "Oud," filled the room with suspended sound-and-light objects that perform on their own in real time via autonomous computer control as you walk among them.

The move: Show up during a Saturday exhibition hour (1-5pm) and just stand inside whatever installation is running — past shows have blended algorave, deep-listening redwood walks, and multichannel video, so it's a different sensory space every visit.

Where: 1050 River St #119, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
