Prairie Dog Glass (inside Jackalope)

Tucked inside Jackalope, Santa Fe's sprawling folk-art and patio-furniture bazaar, is a working hot-glass studio where Prairie Dog Glass has been blowing glass on-site for over 17 years. The 'Glass Experience' is sold a la carte in timed increments — a bowl (25 min), a vase (25 min), an ornament (10 min), a chili (30 min) — combined to fill a 60-minute session, so two people can split an hour and each walk out with something they shaped.

The move: Split a Glass Experience hour: one of you blows a bowl while the other watches through the 2,000-degree glow, then swap — you leave with two pieces of glass neither of you could buy anywhere else.
