Entry No. 1 — the Savannah file — filed under: true-crime

Graveface Museum

Down a cobblestone alley behind River Street, this docent-led true-crime-and-oddities museum runs visitors through a John Wayne Gacy exhibit built from ten-plus years of research, an Ed Gein 'experience' staff explicitly warn is not for kids, Charles Manson's sweatpants, shrunken heads, a Sideshow History room, an Anton LaVey/Church of Satan display, and an 18-and-up GG Allin: Carnival of Excess exhibit.

The move: Take the guided walkthrough as a pair, let the docent (co-owner Chloe, per visitor reviews) walk you through the Gacy and Gein rooms, then argue over cocktails afterward about which case file rattled you more.
