The Pirates' House

Built around the 1734 Herb House — the Pirates' House's own gardener's cottage, which it bills as "said to be" Georgia's oldest standing structure — on the site of Oglethorpe's original Trustees' Garden. An inn for sailors rose here by ~1753. In Treasure Island, Captain Flint dies in Savannah, and local legend ties his death (and haunting) to this spot, now a restaurant with fifteen dining rooms.

The move: Split dinner in one of the older dining rooms, ask staff to point out the original 1734 Herb House section, then walk next door into the small Trustees' Garden park it was built to serve.
