Davis Mill ruins

Dating back to 1783, this historic water-powered grist mill was once a vital hub of Montgomery County's agricultural economy. The three-story clapboard structure operated until the early 20th century before being destroyed by a fire in the 1940s. Today, only the cleared stone foundations and an interpretive historic marker remain along the scenic creek.

The move: Park at the gravel lot at the intersection of Davis Mill and Huntmaster Roads, read the historic plaque, and enjoy a peaceful hike along the Seneca Creek Greenway Trail to photograph the stone foundations.

📍 Before you go The ruins are located on public parkland within Great Seneca Stream Valley Park, featuring a dedicated gravel parking area and an interpretive sign at the trailhead.
