Torpedo Factory Art Center

A WWII naval munitions plant that once machined actual torpedoes now holds 82 working artist studios across three floors, doors propped open so you can watch printmakers, glassblowers, and potters mid-piece rather than look at finished work behind glass.

The move: Go on a Second Friday evening (open late through October 2026, free workshops and live music), pick whichever studio door is open, and just talk to the artist while they work — then wander down to the Potomac waterfront right outside.
