Entry No. 34 — the Butte file — filed under: arcade-play
Montana Axe Bar & Throwing Co.
Founder Kayla Lambrecht swapped a nine-year fashion shop for an axe-throwing hall after getting hooked competing against her own family, and brought the sport to Uptown Butte. Lane coaches teach proper form before you start chucking hatchets, and the bar pours beer and wine alongside homemade pizza. There's also a golf simulator on site, and the venue runs tournaments for the competitive crowd. It's closed Mondays and opens mid-afternoon most days.
The move: Split a homemade pizza and a couple of beers, then let a lane coach teach you both to stick a bullseye and settle it in a head-to-head bracket.
