Room for Friends … a wine bar!
A husband-and-wife pair of ex-United Airlines folks turned this skinny Santa Fe storefront into a wine bar that feels like crashing a friend's living room — original tin ceiling, two couches including one red-velvet number with fringe dragging the floor, and local art covering every wall (all of it for sale). The move nobody clocks from the sidewalk: a 1,100-sq-ft back patio strung with lights tucked behind the building. They pour oddball bottles from Hungary, Austria and Italy by the flight, and the snack menu runs to crudités with homemade ranch and kielbasa over mashed potatoes. Mondays are karaoke; Tuesdays are trivia.
The move: Grab the red velvet couch with a flight of weird Eastern-European pours and a board of snacks, then drift out to the hidden back patio once the string lights come on. First-Friday art walk on Santa Fe makes it a natural last stop.
