Case Chocolates

From the street it reads as a chocolate shop selling spirit-filled bonbons — until a bookcase in back swings open onto a reservation-only tasting room. A Maker's Mark 46 bourbon bonbon arrives paired with an Old Fashioned made from the same bottle, three courses of chocolate matched drink-for-drink to cocktail.

The move: Book the $68 three-course tasting menu ahead of time, pick out a few bonbons from the retail counter on your way in, then let the bookcase door swing you into the back room where each chocolate is paired with its matching cocktail.
