Burks Family Cemetery in Springs Shopping Center

A tiny 19th-century private pioneer family graveyard completely enclosed inside a square ring of manicured tall red bushes right in the middle of a busy strip mall parking lot.

The move: Find the small gap in the evergreen bushes near the postal mailbox across from Shaheen's and peer through the wrought-iron gate at 1800s marble tombstones set against shopping center asphalt.
