The Speakeasy at San Ysidro Ranch

Tucked around a corner from the Stonehouse restaurant with no signage pointing the way, this stone-walled Prohibition-inspired bar on tufted red velvet couches was named one of only 37 hotel bars worldwide (5 in the whole US) in Forbes Travel Guide's 2026 Hotel Star Awards. A Santa Barbara Independent writer who attended its anniversary fete said flamenco dancers' footwork echoed off the stone and 'time did not exist within the walls.'

The move: Order the Secret Stash (bourbon, rye, Cynar, banana crème, black walnut bitters, banana caviar) and split a seafood tower with crab legs, oysters, and lobster while live music plays 7-10:30pm nightly by the fireplace.
