Legends of the Night Sky at The Dome (Exploration Place)
Exploration Place's dome theater on the Arkansas River runs Legends of the Night Sky, a 25-minute show performed live by a presenter who mixes real seasonal-sky astronomy with the often-absurd Greek myths behind the constellations (Orion, Perseus, Andromeda). The full-dome projection wraps the whole ceiling, so you lean back and the night sky pours over you. It is an indoor, weatherproof way to actually learn what is overhead before heading outside. Note: this is a limited seasonal run (through early July) — check the event calendar for current showtimes.
The move: Recline together in the dome for the mythology-laced sky tour, then step out onto the riverfront to find the same constellations in the real sky.
📍 Before you go Show times rotate with the Dome's schedule and are often daytime/early-evening rather than truly late - confirm the current showtimes and ticketing with Exploration Place before planning a night around it.
