DSH Perfumes — The Essence Studio

The North Boulder studio of niche perfumer Dawn Spencer Hurwitz, whose all-natural fragrances ship to collectors worldwide. Inside the Essence Studio Lounge you can develop your own one-of-a-kind personalized perfume, and Hurwitz, a longtime teacher of perfume history and fragrance design, also runs private classes. Since July 2025 the studio runs strictly by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday.

The move: Book the lounge together and each blend a personal, all-natural signature scent under a working artisan perfumer's guidance.

📍 Before you go Appointment only, Tues–Sat 11am–5pm; call ahead to arrange the scent-blending session or a private class rather than dropping in.
