Walk past the pantry shelving toward the back and a secret door opens onto a low-lit lounge of exposed brick, halo chandeliers, and gold-trimmed drink trolleys — no ball caps or tennis shoes past this point.

The move: Grab dessert up front first — it's a legitimate working bakery — then find the door past the pantry room for cocktails on the leather couches; go on a weekend and expect to wait in a line that has no idea it's queuing for a bar.
