Colonial Theatre — Blobfest

Steve McQueen's 1958 creature feature The Blob has a scene of the monster oozing through this exact theater's projection booth, and since 2000 the town has restaged the moment every July as Blobfest: an immersive midnight-style screening followed by a costumed mob literally running out the theater's front doors screaming, occasionally alongside a surviving original cast member from the 1958 shoot.

The move: Buy a ticket to the Friday immersive screening, then actually run out the theater's front doors mid-film with the crowd during the Run-Out reenactment, before hitting the street fair outside.
